Greetings to all from Uganda,
Today is Sunday June 6th and we are at the house of Fr. Hillary's mom for a pig roast. We started the day with a beautiful, joyous celebration of the feast of Corpus Christi.
Upon our arrival at the St Jerome Cove Center we were treated to a warm welcome by the children and staff. They entertained us with singing and dancing and a feast of Ugandan food.
COVE was honored to welcome Father Bob Barron of the Word on Fire Ministry. Fr. Bob was one of Fr. Hilary's instructors at the Mundelein Seminary. He and his group spent three hours filming and interviewing the children and staff for a documentary. They were impressed with the progress that COVE has made.

Our week has been full as we collected the painting supplies to paint the classrooms. First two coats of primer was applied to both the inside and outside of the primary school building. We are looking forward to this week when we can apply the colored paints. Both staff and students were curious and they participated in the work.
We joined in a pilgrimage to the Uganda Martyr Shrine on June 3rd along with thousands of others from many African countries.
We were able to visit sponsored children's families and have received a bounty of gifts including jack fruit, bananas, avocados, maze, pineapple, potatoes and greens.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers; we will stay in touch as much as possible.
